We didn't choose a city or town, we looked for Airbnbs that stood out, somewhere outside a larger city to start.

We really enjoyed the stay, the garden has a private spot to sit, but they are friendly, including the pets, so it was great to connect. There's a tandem bike to use, that was hilarious to try. You can rent bikes close by for €12/day. The village centre is less than ten minutes to walk, neighbourhood is quiet, and there's everything you need, including great gelato with vegan flavours too. Groceries are close, and there are lots of shops to choose from. We didn't end up dining out at all besides gelato. Comfy bed, clean, would love a small desk.

We booked another week before we left, so we can return here in a couple of weeks.
